Cool Show, enjoyed it.
The guy who taught me 21 played on Ustons teams many years ago.
I beat the "Downtown" games for years up to 2005, after that the single deck games went away and/or the rules changed so the EV was always -, very sad i miss the easy $$$, and the $2 steak at the Shoe. I got barred at every joint Downtown by 2005, I was never taken in the back and photographed-nothing serious. One night at the Four Queens I thought I was big trouble.
I have a pile of 21 stories of my own, listening to your show reminded me of some of the things I did/saw.
I started playing in Reno when I was 18, Lived in Vegas over 20 years. I've seen it all , i mean everything. I don't claim to have done it all, but i seen it all. And then some, fun to reminisce.
Jake do you know Artie Bordendorfer(SP?) ????he is from Chicago, won millions using messenger betting for sports, he caught a beef and the Feds took most of his money. He did what Billy Walters does, who i'm sure you know who he is.
I'll stop here i could write all day about this topic as I have lived it for years, my regret is I didnt play BG all these years, used to watch it at the pool room in the 80's on Sacramento $100-$500/point. I just played pool.
