If Blue does not hit, what is he going to do for a follow-up? After N = 13/11 6/5, he would need to roll a natural to be safe. Since most large numbers would have him breaking somewhere next turn anyway, I would try breaking now, while I can hit. Obvious pluses also include denying White the chance to make an advanced anchor, and a nice 10-pip swing in this close race.
