The position already requires some kind of action (hitting) play anyway.

Good for blue then that at GG every roll he gets the best move hits except with 43.

So for 44 let's put white on the bar with 5/1*(2).

If it was just a case of making the play that wins the most gammons, I'd follow it up with 8/4(2) the downside is it just sacrifices too many wins so moving up with 24/20(2) looks better given that white is already bearing down on his 5 point.
