I agree with Karol that the easy part of this problem isn't making the 3pt, it's making the 10pt. We're behind in the race and we'd like to further aggravate the opponent's checkers anchored on our five point. This is a decent broken exterior prime. Giving up the midpoint doesn't give away much outfield coverage so it's not that much of a concern.
