I guess I should have said "hope we roll doubles before we crack". Anyway, now that I've read the other responses I'm persuaded that clearing the midpoint looks better. I missed the fact that clearing it only leaves an indirect and that 62 is the only non-double roll that allows us to clear without leaving a direct.

In terms of pay-now vs pay-later we only pay a little by paying now since we only leave six shots. It will be more expensive if we are forced to pay later. That said, I don't like giving up outfield control and connectivity.

Don't think this is going to consultation, but I'll switch if it does.
