Weekly tournament fee: how much?

For several reasons which are not at this point relevant, we stopped our weekly meetings here in Miami (www.MiamiBackgammon.com), including our on-and-off weekly tournaments. I am thinking there may be enough willing players to get back on schedule.

If we get rolling again, we will play a single elimination tournament each week. Winner and runner-up (and possibly 3rd if enough players enter) will split 100% of the entry fees.

I am inclined to set the entry fee at $10, but I am not sure if this amount makes sense. So I ask for your input, based on your own group's play.
