Everything takes money, but pooling resources is one way to get money and to spend money efficiently. Why should each tournament director and each country and each organization have to set up a web site and find someone to post and update when one person/organization/web site can do it for the entire world? If all of the backgammon players in the world contribute to a central organization there will be more money and a more practical way to use the funds efficiently.

There should be one place to go and get instant updates on all tournaments everywhere. Of course that takes money, but it also takes coordination and organization to generate the money and spend it efficiently.

If the players don't organize and do it, it won't happen. And we're already a good part of the way there...most countries have a federation of the players....all they have to do is combine and organize for the common good of the game.
