Steve Sax is the newest addition to The Backgammon Learning Center team of 11 top, experienced teachers. Steve resides in Los Angeles and has been known as "the teacher to the stars" for many years.

Steve is well-known to all in the backgammon world--currently the No. 9 Giant, but also known for his excellent commentary, insights, and of course, Steve has many years of experience teaching. Steve will now be "armed" with our complete curriculum and over 120 lesson plans, and of course, his knowledge and experience will improve and expand those plans for the rest of the group.

The BLC has provided private and group lessons, live and on the internet, for the past 15 years to backgammon players in over 35 countries. We offer lessons in English, French, German, Hebrew, Spanish, Japanese, Czech, Turkish, (and I often use Gibberish). Our current student list is over 100 students, and many of our current and past students have won tournaments around the world in both the Intermediate and Open divisions.

In recent years we have added more teachers to provide private and group lessons for beginners at significantly lower rates as we believe this will encourage more players to become involved in the game on a long-term basis and to help grow the game. In addition, our teachers often volunteer their services and time to teaching children, the disabled, and senior groups.

Our teachers have also been very much involved in the creation and support of Federations around the world and the development of Opening Ceremony (bgopeningceremony.com), MindgamesCenter.com, and assistance with the development and marketing of eXtremeGammon.
