Even after this doublet Blue is slightly back in the race. For this reason, 21/18(3) doesn't seem to be appropriate in my opinion. Moving down 13/10(3), however, blocks White's anchor on the 4-point nicely. I don't consider breaking the midpoint to be that dangerous because White's midpoint and 17-point is already stripped. Thus, she won't probably have any strong outfield control in future. What is about the last (fourth) 3? I'm at a loss for a suitable play in this regard. Although White has a better board, 6/3* is tempting, since Blue might win a tempo and might use his extra checkers to cover the blot, unless he won't get hit himself. Compared to 6/3*, 5/2 looks way too passive and procrastinating. 21/18, however, seems to be okay, but I still prefer the hit to the running play.

13/10(3) 6/3*
