Grandmaster Awards to Bob Wachtel & Kit Woolsey

GRANDMASTER AWARDS TO BOB WACHTEL & KIT WOOLSEY
I have the great pleasure in announcing that Bob Wachtel and Kit Woolsey, two of the great icons of backgammon have both been awarded Grandmaster titles by virtue of their excellent performances on the backgammon circuit over the last 14 months. Both players have played at championship backgammon level over five decades and were both listed in the original Giants List in 1993 and have featured regularly henceforth. Bob has reached as high as #8 and Kit as high as #5 on the lists published every two years. Besides being extraordinarily gifted players, both are authors and theoretical analysts of great renown.
Bob has achieved the title of Grandmaster (Class 2) with an aggregate PR of 3.25 over more than 200 experience points. Kit has achieved the title of Grandmaster (Class 3) with an aggregate PR of 3.97 over more than 150 experience points.
Congratulations to Bob and Kit who through their superb performances have deservedly reached Grandmaster levels joining twenty other great players who have previously reached this level!
