Chiva Tafazzoli: My 2 centes is that if you are a backgammon player and eligible to vote, itīs your duty to vote in the same manner.

I reject this whole cloth. I am eligible to vote, and have NEVER cast a ballot for the Giants of Backgammon, and I never will. It's not up to you or anybody else to tell me that I am somehow obligated to cast a vote. I also have no complaints about the outcome of the voting, because by and large, I don't care. I think the backgammon world can and should do a lot better than this passe popularity contest. My abstention is a vote for a better system.
