Running off the anchor to the midpoint is sometimes correct even if one is way back in the race. But in this position it can't be right in my opinion. Black has an intimidating threatening structure on her 8-, 7-, and 6-points. So, I would reject this play.

The hitting plays (10/2* or 8/2* 8/6) weaken the structure on the near side of the board, and don't seem to be that effective with regard to containment of Black's straggler.

Black is far ahead in the pipcount, and will try to escape with his last back checker very soon. For this reason, the direct priming approach is more likely to be sustainable than the hitting or running approach. If Black can't hit, it will be fine. If Black hits in the next roll, White won't have problems to enter the board and maybe he can hit as well.
