GridGammon issue with maintaining match state?

I played part of a match yesterday when someone had to disconnect. When we returned there was no saved match to resume.

Resumed a different match this morning. I won and saw my rating updated. Then got a request to resume a match -- from the same player. Should this be possible? Anyone else having similar issues?
