The Cliffhanger

I did not realize my post was such a cliffhanger until last night when at dinner Chris and Patty Knapp asked me what I did with regard to the Clock issue during the WBTOC. I simply cited both the Legal Plays rule as well as Director's discretion in the circumstance of dealing with fairness of play. I then ordered the match be restarted at the point the player timed out as both players agreed on what the position looked like and finally I gave the player back all of his 1:30. If I find the time I may expound on this at a later date...
