It happens to the best of us...

In his match against Ed O'Laughlin in Monte Carlo, Victor Ashkenazi misplayed his roll of 55 at around 1:45:50. He mistakenly played five 5s instead of 4.

Ironically, Victor had just cautioned Ed in the previous game about trying multiple moves without resetting the checkers in between trials. Victor then did the same thing.

I did not sense any mischief. It looked like the kind of simple misplay we all make at times.
