You can't appreciate it from the comfort of your computer terminal, but the Boston Museum of Science has a scale model of the solar system that is spread out across the Greater Boston area. You have to take the subway (or drive around) to reach the various planets if you want to visit them all in a day. Some more details are available here.

As for a computer simulation that gives you a sense of cosmological scale, I recommend Cary & Michael Huang's Scale of the Universe 2.
