Thanks for all the comments. It seems to me, that the reason why grabbing an anchor and opening the lowest point gets pushed to the top might be the strongest prime vs prime value vs White's broken (but serious) prime, compared to the other plays.
I'm also rolling out a close variant with more reasonable options (our back men on 22&23pts. instead). Be sure to take a peek here tomorrow.
