I really like Jeremy and Frank but wtf are their pictures on the USA v. Japan pdf?

Is the die on checker rule making a roll valid if it lands on a checker in use for this event? Stupid ass rule, as I digress, I can't believe we have a rule esp. for speedgammon, that encourages me to roll into the checkers so my opponent will have to fish the dice out on his own time. Wait, he'll probably make the time back with interest due to all the time it saves when he rolls on his own checkers.
