Luck Factor - correlation with outcomes?

In a perfect world:

Luck difference + skill difference = Match Result

Measurement uncertainty comes into play to muddy the waters.

I'm sure many of us have lost matches even with a PR advantage AND a luck factor advantage. However there must be some broad correlation between [luck factor + PR] and impact on match score?

In your case the -8 luck factor might, say, be equivalent to 8 points in an 11 point match (+/- a confidence band)

If anyone can throw any light on the above we might get a better understanding of what luck factor means.
