Does Gnu get this one wrong?

From a game I was playing against Gnu:

Match to 7, score is 2-away, 2-away

My (Blue's) best play (according to gnu) is 10/8 7/6 which leaves open the 44 joker. Alternate plays such as clearing the bar point and 10/9 + 7/5, 5/3 or 3/1 are all flagged as an error of at least .031. It's even confirmed by a brief rollout. Can someone explain this?

Of course since this was a game in tutor mode, I played the suggested 10/8 7/6 only to see gnu roll the joker! We all know the program cheats!!!
