Closed Board Cube Decision Rule of Thumb

Does anybody have a good rule of thumb for how many checkers the leader can have born-off when trailer has a closed board with the leader having one on the bar? Also 2 on the bar. Assume the leader has a speed board, all checkers on ace and deuce points. Assume trailer on roll. I'm looking for the doubling window, when is it a No double/take, double/take, double/drop and too good to double/drop. Here's a typical position:
The score (after 0 games) is: gnubg 0, Dan 0 (match to 21 points)
Move number 3: Dan to play 11
gnubg 38
Dan 57 Position ID: 3wMAANp2dwAAAA Match ID: cImkAgAAAAAA
• Dan doubles
Sorry Neil, I know you hate rules of thumb. :-)
