I'm always amazed when GNU-bg 3-ply and 4-ply disagree by a lot on a checkerplay. You may recall this position from early in the week:

2-ply and 4-ply agree that three plays are within 0.005. 3-ply says not only are the three plays separated, but one of them is a Whopper!

I'm doing one RO 2-ply and another 3-ply. OK, 3-ply RO's are ambitious enough for late game (normal) BG, but early NG?? I may not even have 100 trials per candidate for the 3-ply RO when I get back to the office on Wednesday, but I gotta give it a try.
