Rules discussion 1, calling attention to illegal plays

Example: Player A rolls 63, and tentatively moves (illegal) 24/21 13/8. He hasn't punched his clock, and is still thinking about his play. Player B calls attention to this illegal play right away, rather than wait for player A to finsh his move.

Do you find this perfectly acceptable within the current rules, or is player B out of line, speaking during A's player turn, and sidestepping the procedure for correcting illegal plays as outlined in the rules. Also if you feel that this is problematic within the current rules, do you think that the rules should be changed to allow B's early intervention
