Funny, in one of the later issues of Inside Backgammon (I think it was), a cartoon of a hooded executioner appeared with the caption "Nack Ballard."

I'd like to think I'm a gentle soul but it seems that the urge to behead runs in the family, and not just evidenced by the hockey incident. My maternal grandfather claimed to have traced back our family tree to fifteenth century English royalty.
