i7 processor choice question

I'm wondering if the modern bots can distinguish between the two types of i7 processors: "Bloomfield" or 9xx series and "Lynnfield" or 8xx series. Here is a synthetic test result at TomsHardwareGuide:

I see at NewEgg -- http://tinyurl.com/59x94g -- that the slow end of both lines sell for nearly the same price (~$290). Three technical differences appear there in the specs: Lynnfield draw less power (95W vs. 130W, presumably measured at 100% usage), Bloomfield has L2 cache of 4x256k (none listed for Lynnfield), and Bloomfield uses QPI (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QPI).

FYI (and from my observation) the SiSoft Sandra synthetic benchmarks (shown above in the THG link) take full advantage of every possible hardware and software tool to maximize throughput.

My question is: do the modern (i.e. in active development) bots take advantage of QPI and show similar relative performance comparisons between Bloomfield and Lynnfield processors?
