Have players gone overboard...

...feeling they have to apoligize for justifying duplication?
I believe I know the source of all this. One of the first things beginners learn is the principle of duplication. Then they make it the KEY factor every time they have a checker decision: "oh, I can duplicate; must be correct!"
So some players get annoyed and beat their chests when they can point out situations where duplication is wrong and even misapplied (e.g. classical duplication for the sake of duplication). And the pendulum swings to the opposite high point.
I think it's time to relax and accept duplication for what it is -- quite often right, but not always. Just like about every (worthwhile) principle in the game.
