"free drop" a clear error

After an opening 6-5 for each side White of doubles, of course, post-Crawford 6-,1-. XG has Blue as a clear, 47%-53% underdog losing 11% gammons, and yet XG Roller+ gongs it as a .045 error for Blue to use his free drop in this position. What simple (no doubt) concept is escaping me here?
