OT - Tough decision

So my wife and I are being recruited by a company to come work for them. Originally it was just my wife, but when they found out that I was a synthetic chemist, they were very interested in speaking with me too. The opportunity would require a move from Dayton to Columbus, so selling/re-purchasing a house is a necessary hurdle that needs to be overcome. We had a 7 hour interview on Friday, but he did not offer us any financial information, yet said that he was VERY interested in having us both work for him and he needed a decision by Sept 1.

My question is this. When being recruited, what is the typical salary increase we should expect to see? I figure he can't lowball us as we currently have jobs and are in no hurry to change them. Does anyone have any insight on this?

The biggest downside is that I'd be closer to Stick...
