Do you REALLY want to see backgammon flourish?

Recently there has been a lot of effort expended by people here and elsewhere to promote backgammon as an enjoyable, challenging competition for people of all ages. This website, for the most part, has been and continues to be a leading vehicle for that movement.

Since the beginning of May I've lost count of the number of personal, petty, grudge-induced confrontations that serve no purpose other than the selfish gratifications of the egos of those involved. But a spinoff is that it casts a negative image of what competitive backgammon is all about.

Please, think about what you say/post here. Take your personal battles offline where they belong.
