I figured Friday, Saturday and Sunday are no good.

Can you elaborate why you think Friday is not good?

In my club, we always had our meetings on Friday and from what I've heard - people wouldn't like if it was any other day.
If it was during the working week, we would probably finish our activities by 11 PM. This way we often played until 1 AM.
