Thanks for the kind words, Christian. I'm afraid that the disorganized mishmash of thoughts floating around in my brain does not remotely resemble the coherence of my posts. Fortunately, it's not a vital prerequisite. The number of positions I'm referencing would typically be overkill if the sole objective were to make the best play in a given position. In general, my goal in these posts is not only to show one or more thought processes by which the right answer can be ascertained but also to provide additional information, insight and references.

I feel an important point is that it is helpful not only to know which play is best in a basic reply (second roll) position but to study the MARGINS by which best plays play (or even the not-best play) are superior to other candidates. Without that knowledge, it is much more difficult or impossible to make meaningful adjustments in the assessment of third and fourth roll positions.
