I hoped the Japanese would win - I have more Japanese friends than American friends, and more business with Japanese companies than American. And also because of the year it had been.

USA was the better team, but I believe they made some tactical errors. If you dominate play, don't defend when you are ahead, just continue like before, unless your team has a great defensive tradition (Italy's men team comes to mind). And I would have kept Rapinoe in because she works extremely hard and provides good passes and crosses for Wambach and Morgan.

I still have not figured how the second Japanese goal went in... And pretty good goalkeeping by the Japanese goalie!
