I believe that somewhere in the region of £1.5 million was spent on filming and promoting WSOB. It is completely unrealistic to keep talking about how good the quality of footage was there without understanding that it was very, very expensive to do.

3 cameras require 3 camera people. Half decent camera people charge c. £500 a day. Putting them up in a hotel in Monte Carlo costs £200 a night. Flying them to Monte Carlo costs c. £150 a person. Equipment hire - lights, cameras, editing equipment, fallover internet options etc. all costs money.

To do this in the way you are suggesting would costs upwards of £15,000.

So you'd need about 2,000 viewers at $15 to break even.

Fancy putting the money in up front???
