Kit Woolsey gave an average error rate of .03 for the “New Ideas in Backgammon” Problems

Did he? As far as I know I've never heard of this. What I do know is that his selection process for problems in the book had a margin of at least .050 between the best play and the second best play to be included in the book. This way it was a lot more unlikely that a future generation of bots would overturn their results. I'd like to know where you got the above quote from. (not that it really means anything even if it was said/written)
