I guess maybe I would be surprised. IMHO, -4, -2 is just about the easiest score you can get to, particularly if you don't really know what you are doing in general. You can't go too far wrong by doubling with any sort of advantage at all, and then you just play for the g.

I talked for a while with Peever yesterday. He wasn't at all upset about the turns the dice had taken. He's seen worse beats before, and will likely see worse beats again in the very near future. He acquitted himself exactly as I felt a World Class competitor should with respect to the turns of fortune and the quality of his opponent. Paul was, however, kind of beating himself up about the quality of his own play. I thought he played great--it's much easier to make the right play when you are watching than if you're actually there with all the spectators and the money and prestige at stake.
