Thanks for that extra info!

Stick, please realize I called this event "The Monte Carlo Open" because that is the name they used for it. I simply used the advertised name of the event. I posted in good faith all the information that was available at the time (Before even FlintBG). It was mentioned in the stream chat by the same name. And at the time someone suggested it was also the "INAUGRAL/1ST MONTE CARLO OPEN".

What is also interesting is that eventually when FlintBg published it the title was "36th WORLD BACKGAMMON CHAMPIONSHIP & MONTE CARLO OPEN".

It is interesting that an after tournament tournament would be promoted as an "Open" Event. I have no control over how they name these things. Sorry.
