I completely agree with Phil ... oh what has the world come to. What harm can be done by having an exhaustive rule book at hand? The TDs who don't like it don't have to use it, it's their tourney they can run it the way they want. I'd much rather have the option of referencing a rule regarding something like UBK has posted in this thread if called to make a decision. Some people obviously put time into these rules and thought through the situations rather than it come up at the tourney and I fly totally by the seat of my pants and end up pissing people off no matter how I rule. (Ppl tend to be less peeved if you are able to shove a rule book under their nose and say 'See, these are the rules.')
