The math might help also though. Suppose you are deciding your take point when when winning 2a 3a race.

Doing it focusing on current match:

Drop goes to 50%, take and win goes to 100%, take and lose goes to 32%. Risking 18 to gain 50. 18/(50+18) is about 26.5%

Now suppose you are down 1 match to none in a best of 3 matches.

Doing the above focusing on the metasituation:

Realize that all your meta equities will simply be half your current match equity since if you win you are at 50% meta equity.

Drop go to 25%, take and win goes to 50%, take and lose goes to 16%. Risking 9 to gain 25. 9/(25+9) = 18/(50+18) since every value has been halved.

In general all the relevant values will be in the same proportion when doing the metaanalysis instead of a current match analysis.
