Well you already have your spares on the other side of the board where they need to be, two of them poised to escape with sixes assuming your opponent isn't able to make the six prime. If he does make the six prime it really doesn't matter for the moment, your back men are fine anchored where they are and if push comes to shove you may give up either the 23pt or 24pt anchor if it's to save your timing and still be left with a good backgame.
So the back checkers are taken care of and the only part of the board you need to focus on is your forward position. As you said, killing numbers, keeping diversified, and making points in order is among the usual basket of priorities. Here I didn't really consider 6/5(2) initially until I saw someone else post it and it may be best. Your opponent has more time than you esp. considering that coming home some of his numbers may be killed slowing him up. (sixes) You may want to go ahead and assume that you will have to break the six point in a couple of rolls so why not do it now, looking to kill sixes and fives a few rolls down the road? The only drawback of course is relinquishing the six point. My other two plays keeps them slotted in order and some flexibility but with our timing issues I'd change my vote to 6/5(2) had I seen it.
