In my opinion, the best way to approach recube vig is to first get the bots to provide us with the relevant information, as I explained here. Note in particular where I mention that recube vig will automatically be taken into account in this approach.

Then we can start absorbing the information and developing a feel for it, just as one develops a feel for wins/gammons/etc.

However, so far I've not been able to convince many people that this is the way to go.
