An interesting faux FRAM problem:

1) Opponent's position getting better? Yes.

2) Our position getting worse? Given the timing difference, I'd say 'yes'.

3) If we pay now and survive, are we home free? Not necessarily.

However, this isn't really a classic FRAM problem because there is no safe option. We're either leaving 11 immediate shots or 16, so the tradeoff (difference) is 5/36. IMO, with opp's homeboard blot (which does get covered on five of the 16 hits) and our deteriorating position, we should pay now.
