In Response To: High dead cube take points and the reasons why (rew)

I think the accepted meaning of "dead cube" is a cube which has no value to the owner (other than keeping the opponent from being able to use it). I.e. if the owner wins the game with the cube at its present value, he's guaranteed of winning the match.

I've used "buried cube" for the one you refer to here, as in "buried in the back yard" with no intent of using it. There are likely other terms for this as well.
