Nice... are there other T4 positions? I thought that was a difficult hunt so far?

Yes, it is. However, I haven't been systematically looking for T4's, and I would guess that a few such early game (say third through eighth roll) positions do exist. For a second roll position, 41S-54 seems to be the most likely or the only remaining chance.

I've constructed many middle-game T4's, though I doubt I kept a record because they were mostly near misses of my primary objective: R4's (Real four-score positions; i.e., no best play is "tied" with the best play at any of the other three scores). I've heard that an R4 was published and analyzed in a book called Backgammon Openings.
