My understanding of it is that as it is entropy based so it is NOT a pseudo RNG and should not have any period.

Yes, I should have realized that. It is a 'true' RNG.

Note that it will not be suitable for using in rollouts as the result are not reproducible.

I don't understand this. Why is reproducibility so important that it would pre-empt the use of an (hopefully) extremely fast pure RNG?
