Number 1: I'd vote for paying now. When you're ahead in the race, race. And white can afford to abandon our 9-point if need be and we will still have to come home with a big gap against the man on our 5-point. 11/8 11/7.

Number 2: I don't think we need accept a 2-point anchor yet. He doesn't have that much firepower at this point so I think it's time to play for the 3-point. Playing the 4 from the midpoint strips it but gives us a valuable builder. Playing from the 8-point slots our prime, but might make it easier for him to hit us loose on the 3-point. 13/9 23/22

Number 3: I'd say it's a double based on Woolsey's Law. I'm not sure about the take (thus the double) but I'd guess it's a drop. The race is close but I think we're going to be wasting pips in our board while blue has time to bear his 4 checkers in. And if we are forced to abandon our anchor it seems the gammon risk is too high.
