Dear Nutty Professor,
Maybe your and similar postings are exactly the reason why :)
Reading carefully rules do help to answer questions. WBA tournaments, like almost all others, are by invitation only and the TD has the right to refuse attendance to anyone without giving due reason. So you canīt party if youīre not invited...
Once in a tournament, you sign up and with your signature on the registration, you acknowledge the rules and agree to obey to them.
When a ruling decision occurs, the TD makes a ruling and the player has always the right not to accept the ruling. The case is taken to a Ruling Committee who can underline or over-rule the TDīs decision. The case is taken to the Committee anonymously without giving names to ensure an unbiased decision.
And again, if a TD bars you or refuses you attendance, he might have good reasons for it. Most of time, the reason is clearly MISBEHAVIOUR.
Good luck in turning the backgammon world into a "fair backgammon" place.
