Daily Quiz 9/21

Problem 1. I see the downside in putting the back checker on the point opp wants to make most, but 24/23 is worth next to nothing (well, OK it treads water) and creating a fresh blot (direct or two indirects) doesn't fit my gameplan. 24/21
Problem 2. After 21/20*, the choice is between further unstacking the back checkers with 21/17 or bringing another checker to shadow your own outfield. Here I like the extra immediate nearside outfield coverage, which not only is better for rehitting but also gives some chances to make either the 7- or 9-point (but not the 8-point :). 21/20*, 16/12
Problem 3. These positions have fooled me before. White can win (including a few gammons) when Blue doesn't cover the 3-point and White can win when Blue covers. OTOH, Blue has some chances of getting a second checker treed which greatly reduces White's chances of winning from the bar. These latter don't seem great, though, because only Blue's acepoint is open so the parlay chances of enter+blot+hit look slim. (Then again, so do the chances of White winning because Blue can't close the prime in time.) Looks to me like a... pass
