I know of someone that won 27 matches in a row back in the early 80's in the local Memphis backgammon tournament. The player was a strong intermediate level player at the time and his opponents ranged from very weak novices to weak intermediates. The matches were 7 points in length. Your 18 wins against GG competition is more impressive.

I once won 16 games in a row, one as the captain, and 15 as the box, in a chouette at Bob Wachtel's apartment in the mid-80s that was comprised of Bob Wachtel, Gus 'the count' Contos, Bob Glass, and myself. That was probably well over 15-1 against happening that specific evening.
