Only four legal plays and one of those (9/4) looks crazy. The others:

13/8 Even a midpoint iconoclast has a stomach and this play grinds at mine. (A 4 played off the 13-point would be more palatable.) Only 11 shots, and it keeps checkers in play so I don't rule it out yet.

11/6 Safest (only 3 shots) but uber-stacks the 6-point and gives up a good point (which at worst is two good builders and at best blocks the highest anchors).

6/1 Holds the fort but puts a checker m/l out-of-play. It's a bad habit to form but there are times when it's right. Usually those involve tempo hitting or getting outfield checkers home safely to prepare for the bearoff. With a checker on the 24-point, it doesn't appear to fit the bill.

OK, all the plays give me indigestion, so I'll keep checkers in play, maintain/improve balanced distribution and give up the (IMO) least valuable current point:

25/24*, 13/8
