A close take for money would make it a definite pass at score. Did you take that into account also?

Yes and no. The conclusion I arrived at was that I thought at best it was right on the D/T line for $-play so I would pass for $. That makes it a bigger pass at the score. However, it sounds like you and I aren't quite in agreement of how big of a pass at this score it would be if it's right on the D/T line. (I.e. it sounds to me as though you are saying a $-game D/T borderline position with this gammon flavor would be a BIG pass at the score. Is that right, for suitable definitions of 'BIG'? :)

BTW, I assumed half of our losses would be gammons (cubelessly). I can't tell if Stick feels the same. He and I do our calcs a bit differently, although one would expect that if we make similar assumptions we should reach the same quantitative conclusion -- but that's not quite the same as saying if we reach the same conclusion we must have made similar assumptions.
